Wedding Favors or Table Favors
There may be a difference between wedding party favors and table favors, but maybe there isnt. Table favors are placed on a table and are usually items like the vase and the arrangement in the center of the wedding reception table. In the past, there would be a colored ticket under the plate at one of the seats at each table. Whoever sat at that place got to take home the floral arrangement that was on the table. That is not done as often today in the modern wedding.
There still is room for a table favor of some sort at a wedding reception. It is a delicate issue for sure, as we now live in a world of easily bruised emotions, and no matter what the value of the table favor, there might be someone, of your friends or relatives, who will go home unhappy that they did not get the table favor. With luck, it will be someone you really didnt like even before the wedding!
Single table favors are now done so infrequently that we must look for something that is inexpensive and cheerful and will serve as a memento of the celebration of your love for your groom. If you choose to give something as a memento to each of your wedding guests, you can find a local manufacturer of buttons of the political campaign type and have a bunch made and personalized with the names of the bride and groom and the date of the wedding. In a reasonable quantity, these could be ordered from a reputable source for less than $1.00 each.
If the idea of a button badge doesnt make your eyes mist over, for about the same price you can get bumper stickers. For just a few dollars more, you can get quality tee shirts. By the time you are footing the bill for tee shirts, hand held miniature games come to mind. The little electronic games should be a bit cheaper than the tee shirts. These last two options are normally ideas for smaller weddings because of the expense involved.
However, most brides eventually settle on a wedding favors budget of $2.00 to $3.00 per guest. At this level, you will have a whole world of high quality, and often times personalized, favors that your guests will treasure for years to come.
